.013 Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day

directed by Bharat Nalluri; starring Frances McDormand, Amy Adams, Lee Pace.

3.5/5 stars

An enchanting hour and a half of a film, Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day follows Guinevere Pettigrew as she escapes from her monotonous life as a governess into the world of Delysia LaFosse, a club singer with her eyes set on the big time but her heart torn between money, love, and fame.  Over the course of a day, Miss Pettigrew enjoys the biggest adventure of her life so far.

I adore this movie. Though I’ve seen it more times then I can count and know most of the lines, it still continues to charm me and make me reminisce about how life would have been seventy years ago. Every actor in the film has their own voice, their own charm and it makes the film so appealing.
